Typical Applications

Oxy-Gone - Single Component Boiler Water Treatment

Oxy-Gone is a single component oxygen scavenger of concentrated Sodium Sulfite for boilers operating at 600 psi or less. The sulfite in Oxy-Gone combines with dissolved oxygen in the boiler water to form a complex, non-corrosive Sulfate compound. This newly created compound becomes a non-adherent sludge that will settle to the bottom of the boiler for removal during blowdown.
APPLICATIONS
Typically used for steam boilers with hard water make up in applications to low pressure boilers of 600 psi or less. Oxy-Gone can also be used on its own for wet storage of boilers in the off-season.
  • Protects steam lines from corrosive effects of dissolved oxygen
  • Stops free oxygen from pitting and causing tube failure
  • Inhibits rust and corrosion from damaging tubes and pipes
  • Improves blowdown by suspending solids in a non-adherent fluid sludge for easy removal
  • Compatible for use with other steam line, oxygen scavenging or dispersing products
